What is JazzWeek?
JazzWeek publishes a weekly magazine which includes articles, industry news, CD reviews and the Jazz Album Chart, the Smooth Jazz Album Chart, and the Smooth Jazz Single Chart of the top fifty most played albums and singles.
How are chart positions determined?
Actual airplay spins electronically detected through Mediaguide. The recording with the greatest number of spins will be number one and the rest will follow in desending order. Each chart will list the top fifty; the top five added recordings, the top five recordings getting the most increased airplay and the top ten "Chartbound" the chart.
What criteria are used for determining which radio stations report?
Radio stations are selected based on market size, geographic location, hours and size of audience reached.
How do the stations report?
Stations do not need to report because they are electronically monitored by Mediaguide.

What is the Duke Dubois Music Fund?
Duke Dubois was widely known in the industry as the "Dean of Jazz Promotion" and a tireless jazz booster. Duke played a key role in furthering the careers of many jazz artists, particularly of those just starting out. His career spanned five decades with labels such as CTI, Blue Note, Scepter ABC and his last gig, Vice President of Jazz Promotion for GRP/Impulse Records.
The fund was set up by friends and industry professionals in honor of Duke's memory to help new jazz talent. All donations are collected and will be distributed through IAJE (International Association of Jazz Educators). The fund has not yet reached a level where an annual scholarship can be awarded to a deserving jazz student.
JazzWeek will be donating a portion of its profits to the fund and we encourage anyone to make a donation to the fund.
Please send your tax-deductible donation to:
