Norman Mapp was a singer, lyricist and songwriter. His songs were recorded 
by Gigi Gryce, Chris Connor, Betty Carter, Joe Lee Wilson, Peggy Lee and 
others. One of his most well known tunes is "Jazz (Ain't Nothin' But Soul)." 
Gigi Gryce published a number of Mapp's songs.
