The phones were busy today. Shelley Posen's humorous "Shabbes" song was the
"hit" of the show, but there was also positive response for the Joe Locascio
Trio, the Culture Brothers' Yupik/Tibetan fusion, Omar Kent Dykes and Jimmie
Vaughan (with guest Lou Ann Barton), the Native flute music of Ohwihsha, and
good ol' Merle Haggard. I also fielded raves for the Tony Bennett American
Songbook radio special which ran the hour before "GE." I do enjoy hearing
from elcectic listeners!
