Thanks for the heads up. In the 50s while she was still married to Ray
Brown, Ella owned a hotel (that still is in business) here in Denver. I
could give you more info if the movie folks are interested.  I hope they
consider Dana Owens aka Latifah for portraying Ella, I think she'll be a
good choice. I also hope they get her "discovery" at a Harlem school music
room correctly.
