Here are some american exponents:
DJ. Logic
Matthew Shipp - check out the Thirsty Ear Blue series. There are
some great recordings.
Kid Koala (Canada)
The Nublu Orchestra Conducted by Butch Morris - They have a recording
for Nublu Records and they play every monday at Nublu in New York
Graham Haynes - He has a new record on Ravi Coltranes record label RKM
Madlib - he has a great album for Blue Note.
From France
check out Erik Truffaz he records for Blue Note.
There are a lot of names that can go into this category.

Javeriana Estereo F.M. is a non-profit university radio station in
Bogotá Colombia. The focus of the station is to give the opportunity
to our audience to listen to the broad spectrum of styles with in
jazz and other less commercial genres. Right now the station devotes
seven daily hours of its programming to jazz during the weekends and
three during the weekdays. I am programming from New York while I
pursue a PhD in Ethnomusicology at Columbia University.
