[JPL] PLAYLIST: "General Eclectic", WCVF-FM, 7/20/07

Due to circumstances which rival a Keystone Cops silent comedy, "General
Eclectic" did not simulcast with WDVL this afternoon, and subsequently did
not stream over the Internet. We should be back on the Web next week. Kudos
to Joyride Media for an exceptionally fine Benny Goodman radio documentary,
which I ran the hour before "GE". Lots of calls for that one! Once again, my
personal favorite of the day was the Carolina Chocolate Drops, the best
thing to happen to Old-Time Music since the old times were new. I keep
playing them off anthologies. I sure hope we can get ahold of one of the
Drops' own CD's. Humourously pointed protest song of the week - Joe
Coughlin's "So Twentieth Century." To the list:
