[JPL] PLAYLIST: "General Eclectic", WCVF-FM, 12/5/08

A shorter than usual playlist today, for a rather unusual reason. New
equipment was installed this week, and no one bothered to show me how to use
it. The one staffer who was at the station when my shift began knew only a
few things about the new machinery, which allowed me to at least play music
over the air (!). But it wasn't until 75 minutes into the two-hour show that
someone else was able to get things properly set up and explained. (Thanks,
Jon!) So I played a lot of LONG tracks, including a couple 15-minute-plus
cuts, to minimize the stress of not knowing what I was doing!
 This also explains why the usual folk-oriented material is virtually all in
the last half-hour, as I didn't bring any longer-form folk stuff with me,
not realizing there was going to be a problem.
 Listener response was greatest for the Mamadou Diabate and Kahil El'Zabar
