Great job, guys. The record with Jo Jones sounded great; would love to
get a copy as Jimmy Forrest lived out his last years in Grand Rapids
and is still well remembered.
That duo record with Han and Dave Douglas threw me, though: could have
sworn it was Wynton. And Han was playing more like Kenny Clarke, or
someone of that generation, than his usual comic genius stuff.
Prieto, too: was "guessing" Don Moye. Though Jae's comments about the
Latin aspect, as opposed to a freer African one, were right on.
The Buddy Rich -- Max Roach record...Buddy spends an entire exchange
with Max "just" playing snare, which seemed odd. Haven't heard that
one in a while.
Cool feature on line.
And nice new record, Jae, especially the piece with brushes.
