The AACM listed Lester Bowie as composing and performing the theme music for the Cosby Show. I thought Stu Gardner wrote that music. Did Lester really compose that theme? Just curious.

Lazaro may have more details but according to IMDB Lester Bowie plays trumpet on 4 or 5 episodes of Season 8 of the Cosby Show. It lists him as a musician but Gardner and Cosby are credited with writing the theme: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0101156/.
