Word is beginning to circulate that guitarist Joe Beck died yesterday of lung cancer. Can anyone confirm?

For what it's worth, I did a Before and After piece in the current issue of JazzTimes with guitarist Larry Coryell. In it, Coryell has some moving things to say about his friend Joe Beck, especially poignant if the news above is true. Here's the link to the piece:
