I'm pretty much a lurker here, but I know that some of you have been playing my new CD "It's Always You" and I just wanted to thank you again and let you know that its been reviewed in the June issue of Jazz Improv Magazine, which you can download at www.jazzimprov.com. I must admit this is the quote that made me the happiest as working with Tedd Firth, Cameron Brown, Matt Wilson, as well as Roland Barber, Marvin Horne and Joel Frahm was and is truly a joyful experience.
"Every vocalist should be so lucky to have sidemen like Brown, Firth, andWilson. Not everyone knows the ins and outs of accompaniment, and vocalists often pay the price–or at times deserve a kind of carelessness from the backup personnel. Here, however, there’s more than enough mutual respect to go around and you can hear it."

I know how lucky I am.

    Lainie Cooke
