[JPL] PLAYLIST: "General Eclectic", WCVF-FM, 5/30/08

Lots of response to Janis Ian's "Johnny I Hardly Knew Ye", all favorable (of
course). However, I had a difficult time keeping my jawline firm when a
youthful staffer referred to it as "that Dropkick Murphys song". Other
tracks receiving positive listener feedback included the reissue of Wally
Rose playing a James Scott rag, Scots masters Capercaillie, Finnish
neo-traditionalists Skra, the Brooklyn Scene jazz sounds of Alexis Cuadrado,
country-rock by I See Hawks in L. A., the proto-bachata stylings of Puerto
Plata  (no surprise there; Fredonia is prime bachata territory),
fiddler-singer Lissa Schneckenburger,  the Tex-Mex r&b of the Motor City
Shieks, and klezmer fusionist Brian Bender. To the list:
