The routine was recorded on Carlin's record "Class Clown." It's likely that more than one station played it at the time, so it makes sense that it was also heard it on KPFK. But it was WBAI's broadcast of the routine that elicited the complaint that led to the case F.C.C. v The Pacifica Foundation, which eventually made its way to the Supreme Court.
