Derrick, there is no way you can think of "Burners" without including
some music from "The Mighty Burner"- Charles Earland. Most of his up
tempo recordings can move your listeners at any time. My listeners have
responded well to the album - "Intensity". The cuts - Morgan, 'Cause I
love Her and Happy Cause I'm Going Home have garnered many request
through the years. The bonus track, Speedball got some requests once it
was issued on compact disc. This album featured along with Charles, Lee
Morgan, Hubert Laws, Billy Cobham, Sonny Morgan, Virgil Jones, Billy
Harper, Dick Griffin and other fine musicians who composed a sort of
small big band...and it was recorded at Rudy's place.

<> Something Extra:

I am aware you are wanting up tempo cuts or what's defined here as
"Burners", but every time I play this tune, the phone lines light up. It
is the traditional, "Amazing Grace" by Hubert Laws from the original
1972 recording on CTI records (vinyl). Try it, and you'll see what I mean.

<>I like your manner of research. The use of the great insights in this
forum should more than just tease the appetites of your listeners.
