No doubt that Mr Snap Crackle still has plenty of pop as an octogenarian...

At jazz89KUVO we have an extensive daily print out of jazz birthdays, the
well known and not so well known so it's a guarantee Roy Owen Haynes will
get plenty of extra airplay on the day that begins his 82nd youthful year.
My former home base WDNA has a similar application as I am sure most jazz
programmers do.  On the subject of March 13th, Miami's Richard "Blue"
Mitchell, Terence Blanchard, Stephen Scott, Dick Katz and Bob Haggart share
the same birthday creating quite a magical day in jazz history

There will be some tasty drumming in the airwaves of jazz radio across the
country on Thursday.......
