Chico Hamilton has a track he recorded in the late 1960s titled St Patrick's
Day Parade from his Impulse album "Chic, Chico"
Grover Mitchell Orchestra has a version of Danny Boy on his All-Star
orechestra date for Ken Records.

For the 4th consecutive year, I played a song on St Patrick's Day that
causes numerous phone calls. It is not a jazz song and has limited jazz
sensibilities however since it's apropo for the day, I play it much to the
delight of our listeners. It's Danny Boy as performed by the Rubén Blades
and Editus Ensemble featuring Luba Mason, great English language opening by
Ms. Mason then some bagpipes kick in with an Afro-Cuban percussion section,
Ruben chimes in and takes it away, an Irish jig meets Cuban guaguancó. it
is from the Mundo(World) album for Sony (2002) The rendition was inspired
by 9-11 as señor Blades lost a fire fighter friend for whom he dedicates the
song to. Rubén Blades-correctly pronounced in English, not as some latinos
say it blah dez, Rubéns' grand father migrated to Panamá to work on the
canal from Saint Vincent's, a former English colony. Blades won the 2002
GRAMMY® for "Best World Music" recording for this album.
