Jim,

Oh, no!  This is a major bummer!!!!!  I had heard of Bud's for years while
still living on the East Coast.  Since moving to the Pacific Northwest in
2001 it's been one of my favorite places without question: a Seattle
landmark.  I'll have to swing by soon to pay my respects to Bud and James.

Subject: [JPL] Sad news for Seattle


Bud's Jazz Records is closing.   Bud Young has been a friend of the
Seattle Jazz community since he opened the store in 1978.  Selling not
only records, tapes & CDs, but tickets to local concerts and serving as
a touchstone for the jazz community.   James Rasmussen who bought the
store from Bud and now operates it has tried to carry on the tradition
but it's been a losing battle.
