Tom asked <<<< What does Ah Crumba one of the selections on the new Bobby
Watson mean? >>>
The actual title is Aye Carumba, naturally I can't get into Bobby's mindset
but I would venture to guess he meant "ay, caramba" which is defined as "oh,
darn it" as caramba could be uttered in the presence of dear old 85 year old
granny when you hit your thumb with a hammer without problem. I will not
assure you of the significance of this title because it may have a hidden
meaning. One of our on air hosts hails from the Twin Cities and when he saw
it the title he wondered if it was a tribute to a Mexican restaurant of
Minneapolis named Ay Carumba, there is no such formal word in Spanish as
carumba so it must be slang. Bobby lives in K C so perhpas he travled to the
twin cities to play at Dakota's and ate there. Maybe Palmetto's Terry can
claer this up, since Bobby's current Cd is our May CD of the Month selction,
I'll send Terry an e-mail to have him ask Bobby. Stay tuned.........
