You're thinking of the Jazz Museum of Harlem: http://www.jazzmuseuminharlem.org/. The New York Jazz Museum detailed in the book is from the 1970s.

> Why would anyone want to read this let alone pay for a copy?  Is this the same New York Jazz Museum where Christian McBride has a large profile with?  If so, I've been in it and attended a jazz talk involving McBride and his career.
