[JPL] Anybody heard about the "First International Jazz Awards" To Be Held 6/29 in Beverly Hills?

Well, well, well, when you base awards on Soundscan you really, in my 
mind, open a can of worms and opens up much debate on the validity of 
Soundscan.  It sounds like awards based on sales versus musician 
expertise and creativity.  Time will tell once the awards are
