[JPL] Broadcast Architecture press release on "their newestinnovation"

Well...how do you really know if they are playing new music...unless they tell you? It all sounds the same. Same tempos...feel...level of improvisation...which is minimal...mix...mood...etc. The new material sounds like the old. What is needed for them in my view is to have more "variation." Same in jazz radio. If the new sounds like what you've been playing...that only goes so far. Variation keeps the listeners interested. Repetition only appeals to a portion of the potential audience willing to listen to you. The only time repetition is good in the bigger picture is when you are repetitively good.

schedule are at http://summit.jazzweek.com/

ed.trefzger at jazzweek.com for details.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I really question the comment by BA saying they were "playing a
significant amount of new music" in their press release. Not playing
new music I believe contributed to the downfall of their format. ALOHA Tom
