More than rock and roll, he was just a wonderful drummer, period. I 
remember hearing him with Larry Coryell, Jack Bruce and the blind 
keyboardist who worked with Coryell, back in the 70s. What a marvelous 
evening of music!

With sincere apologies to the keyboardist, I'm just getting old and my 
memory is going,
