Hour 3: Carlos Santana: Multi-Dimensional Warrior

In this one-hour radio special on Sabor Tropical, Carlos Santana explores
his extensive catalog to highlight tracks that reflect his deep
pirituality.

Living, playing music and being a force for change are all parts of the
same idea that has inspired Santana for 40 years. In an exclusive
interview, Santana discusses how this relates to what he considers the
most spiritual works from his catalog. We'll also hear from two
generations of guitar greats - John McLaughlin and Derek Trucks, legendary
bassist Larry Graham, and percussionist Orestes Vilato.

Santana's musical highlights in the "Multi-Dimensional Warrior" special
include some of his best known instrumentals ("Samba Pa Ti," "Luz Amor di
Vida" and others), a brand-new mix "Spirit" featuring guitar solos
recorded last year, and a few other of Carlos' personal favorite album
cuts.

The program also features rare music your listeners won't hear anywhere
else. Live tracks from a May 2008 show at The Fillmore in San Francisco
were taped forty years after he first headlined that storied venue, and
his first show there in many years.

Produced by JOYRIDE MEDIA and hosted by DON ALIAS whose father (also named
Don Alias) played percussion with Santana, Miles Davis and many others.
