Nick Francis asked:
Attention Jazz musicologists! I'm working on a project and need your help.
Do you know any memorable sax or trumpet solos that are without
accompaniment? A cappella.
....
You specified trumpet or sax, but - German trombonist Albert Mangelsdorf
frequently performed solo concerts. He made three or four solo recordings,
including "Tromboneliness." I think they were all for the MPS label.
Cleveland tenor saxophonist Ernie Krivda has a solo CD coming out in a few
months on the CIMP label.
