As of last September, Horace Silver was in a lifecare facility in Mamaroneck, NY. Was this the nursing home where you saw him, Jan?
I would think all such inquiries should be directed to Horace's son Gregory.

> I've been in touch with a few people on the west coast who are looking for him... if you recall I performed for him at a nursing home about a year ago, from which he has since been moved by a "family" member to an undisclosed location. I've looked a bit into the laws (even consulted with a private investigator I used to work with) and it seems it's neither illegal nor uncommon... but it does weigh heavily on my spirit and I think about him a lot. I wonder how laws might be changed to protect a person's privacy and their legacy at the same time. My prayers are with him.
