[JPL] Airplay Ethics Question

That's a good point Mark. I went through that situation here with the legality part. Technically, the mere fact that we play a CD...any...is a promotion of sorts. It's when you get into definitives and superlatives that you potentially run into problems. You can buy the CD at such and such place...is one example. I had a critic here at the station that brought up the "conflict" issue about me in a meeting. It even went to the extent of us checking with our attorney's. It's certainly okay to do but there are certain parameters. Remember David Sanborn's show? He played HIS music all the time on the program. Don't think anyone complained about that.
