 PLAYLIST: "General Eclectic", WCVF-FM, 2/13/09

I decided not to do a Valentine's themed show this year, because I'm trying
to catch up with as many of the new releases coming in as possible. But
perhaps I should have - the one record I specifically played for Valentine's
Day proved to the big winner among phone callers and studio visitors alike -
Alicia Grugett's outstanding version of "Hymne A L'Amour". Ms. Grugett works
in a sort of pop-operatic vein a la Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman.
Believe me, this lady can out-and-out SING! Also gaining caller support were
the Elkville String Band's version of an old Uncle Dave Macon favorite and
the acoustic hokum-blues of Sheeham & Lotus. To the list:
