[JPL] back to Beatles (plus Barber)

Meant?to pick up on the Beatles thread?a couple weeks ago, but got sidetracked with work.

Coincidentally, the day Derrick asked for suggestions, I'd done a couple sets of new Beatles jazz interpretations during my morning show on WWUH in West Hartford, CT. Most of the tunes?were eventually?mentioned (Hiromi/Chick, Mike Holober, Steven Bernstein). However, no one brought up "Dear Prudence," as performed by pianist Greg Reitan from his new Sunnyside disc "Some Other Time" ... very nice rendition.

I also played "Norwegian Wood" by Patricia Barber,(from Live: A Fortnight in France),?since she was going to be performing?in?our area. Ended up reviewing her concert for the Hartford Courant last Thursday, when her band?did a great reggae-fied "Blackbird." Here's the link to my article:
