[JPL] article on fred hersch

Fred is amazing indeed Tom. Thanks for posting this. I've had the opportunity to work with him a few times and the conversations we've had about the music and the illness he's been confronted with were enlightening. His resilience is amazing. I think he's been dealing with HIV/AIDS since the 80's. Remarkable in itself and somewhat of a medical wonder. We had dinner once and afterward he dropped I know at least 12 different pills. To have to deal with that all this time and make the music he has is astonishing.
