Our theme song for the drive is “Come Together”, serendipitously the newest
Turbinator-Dr. Lonnie Smith album has a version of Lennon-McCartney’s song.
We’ll also use versions by Count Basie Orchestra, Lynne Arriale Trio(studio
take), Cassandra Wilson and Denver’s own Dianne Reeves,  Willie Bobo & The
Bo-Gents, RMM All-Stars featuring Tito Puente and Celia Cruz, the Three
Sounds, Beatle Jazz and Joe Beck with Ali Ryerson.

 

After 3 years of “settling in”, our Bösendorfer piano is sounding better
than ever, we were told by the Bösendorfers execs that just like a high end
automobile,  it has to be “broken in”.  We also installed a humidifier in
the Phyllis A. Greer Memorial Oasis Performance Studio because Denver has a
very arid climate due to our altitude and dry air is detrimental to the wood
of pianos.
