[JPL] 1st Car

My first was a light blue 1964 Thunderbird. I loved that car. The  
transmission fell out a few years after I got it and couldn't afford  
to get it fixed so it passed on to the local junkyard.

Interesting that Kari and Mitchell had two of my favorite cars from  
those years. My friend Jim Keim had both one of the Shelby's and also  
the 289 package. His dad owned a Ford dealership so he had a new car  
every year, which we all thought was pretty cool.  Lots of driving  
too fast with the radio blaring way too loud. The best though was my  
friend Jim Fergus who's dad owned the VW distributorship for the  
state of Ohio. His dad had a lovely red Ferrari that we got to wash  
and then take for a spin.
