Mark Levine posted this story on the latinjazz egroup concerning a 
thread on Obama's White House and jazz.  I never heard this one:

When Duke met Nixon there on the occasion of his 70th birthday, he 
greeted the Pres. French style, but two pecks on each side instead of 
one.  Nixon asked why four kisses instead of two, to which Duke replied 
"one for each cheek."
