[JPL] Charlie Mariano R.I.P.

Sad news indeed. I love Charlie's playing. Earthy...introspective. Two of my favorites were with him as a sideman. One date with pianist Christoph Stiefel on his "Ancient Longing" release and the other Vince Mendoza's "Sketches." Charlie's playing on these projects is simply brilliant.
