I am just getting settled back into my routine and I wanted to thank
everyone who made the JazzWeek Summit possible. I feel refreshed and
ready to get back to work. Thank you Ed for hanging in; Dr. Jazz for the
tote (I have been making good use of last year's), photos and the
highlighter (mine just died); Origin records for Saturday breakfast; the
other record companies for the CDs, etc ( I am listening to the
Resonance thumb drive as I write); everyone who organized panels for
stimulating and enlightening discussions; the musicians who came and
played for us, and those who made that possible; and to all for the
precious fellowship. Even in a major city like Boston, and with all the
music I am involved with, there can be a feeling of, what can I say,
"group loneliness" and frustration - there are so few places to play
and it seems sometimes like very few people give a damn. This gathering
helps me to carry on, practically - with the information and perspective
gained - and spiritually.

Warm regards,

Paul
