[JPL] Worst Radio Moment

I must begin by saying I am over 13 years away from my last alcoholic drink.

In my drinking days I was on what's now Virgin 96 - this particular night,
the first after my regular technician had quit, I found two people in the
control room - one kept cueing up the next record and then the other would
do the same with another one - whatever I announced was the wrong title, I
finally got fed up and said, "Oh, well we've got the wrong LP again - I see
someone holding a yellow label item - let's try that". Now I am used to
technicians turning off my mike should I forget - Not this night so "What
the fuck are you guys doing back there" went over the air in what one of my
regular listeners (a woman) said was my best diction. I apologized after
the music and that's what I remember BUT I was told a couple of years later
by a big shot on the AM side that he was listening while driving and almost
went off the road when I closed the show with "That's it for this week and
next week I will do my very best not to use the word fuck". That became a
famed show across Canada.
