[JPL] Blue Note Records Vs. Prestige Records

two wonderful labels.....have enjoyed spinning them on and off air,but at the end of the day as most will agree, there is only 1 heavyweight champion (though given all the additional years of releases it may not be a "fair" fight)...Blue Note stands alone.

I've always admired the Blue Note audio quality, excellent photography, very readable track labels, times, and sidemen listed prominently on the back. I don't recall ever having a bad-sounding Blue Note recording, but have heard a few P
restige recordings that had a sub-par sound, such as background hiss. For those reasons, I believe that Blue Note has the edge, but thank God for the classic performances found on either label.
