2019 JazzWeek Awards presented at JazzWeek Summit in San Jose

Winners in 11 categories were announced at an awards reception August 8 in San Jose at the JazzWeek Summit. In addition to these awards selected by voters, veteran promoter Neal Sapper was named the recipient of the Duke Dubois Humanitarian Award, the Scott Willis Jazz Impact Award was given posthumously to WRTI, Philadelphia, host Jeff Duperon, and announced as the winner of the Tom “The Jazzman” Mallison Lifetime Achievement Award was retiring WBGO host Rhonda Hamilton.
